Established in 2001, Third Wave is a social enterprise with a fundamental interest in community engagement and cohesion. We work in our communities to identify potential sources of assets and support across a range of needs, not least social, educational and recreational opportunities as well as care and health support needs. Drawing upon local knowledge and understanding the diversity of the community, including the way different groups like to communicate is integral to  positive community interaction and cohesion.

Third Wave comprises of a group of highly motivated and qualified professionals and dedicated volunteers, who strive towards:

  • participating in projects to improve the physical, social and mental well-being of our communities.
  • developing and implementing community-based projects.
  • supporting and encouraging community-led and strong local governance.
  • enhancing the long-term sustainability of local community life.

The Third Wave mission is simple and clear. We envision a community in which all its members regardless of their age, gender, race, sexual orientation, economic status or educational attainment are valued and respected.
